If the address that's bouncing is of the form
/O=Organization/OU=Site/CN=Recipients/CN=DirectoryName, then what you can do
is add a E-Mail address to the intended recipient of "Other" type, type
"X500" (no dot), and the address in the form above.

How are you trying to send the mail? It looks to me as if someone is using
autocomplete in Outlook, which is resolving to the old e-mail address
because their cachehasthat old address, or they're using a stale Outlook
contact, or replying to an old message. If my guess is right, you can fix
that by applying the old X.500 address as a proxy address on the new
mailbox
of type "X500" without the dot.

Hi all,
I deleted a user from my exchange 2007 setup and when I tried adding
him again, I have ran into all sorts of issues.
My main problem is as follows:
I can't send him any e-mails from internal mailboxes.
The error is as follows:
Deliveryhasfailedtotheserecipientsordistributionlists:
Jose Clua

I can, however, send him e-mails when replying to e-mails that mailbox
sends.
I tried looking through google for that error (Deliveryhasfailedto
theserecipientsordistributionlists) but the outcomehasnot really
been that helpful.
Please help!!
I don't know what else to do ..
Thanks,
Diego.- Hide quoted text -

Hi there,
Thanks for your reply..
Where do I type x500?
I am trying to send using outlook, and I had that feeling -- that it
might be resolving a cached address, however the e-mail addresses are
identical..
Still, I'd be interested on trying this ..
Thanks,
D.
