I found an article that suggests that a redirection should be disabled if
OWA server is in different site from Mailbox. However, the action produces
this error:
------------------------------------
[PS] C:\> Set-OwaVirtualDirectory -identity
"mpkwca101.arivia.kom\owa" -RedirectToOptimalOWAServer $false
Set-OwaVirtualDirectory : The operation could not be performed because
object '<myserver>\owa' could not be found on domain controller
'<myDC-in-same-site>'.
At line:1 char:24
+ Set-OwaVirtualDirectory <<<< -identity
"<myserver>\owa" -RedirectToOptimalOWAServer $false
[PS] C:\>

Hi,
I recently installed a 2K7 CAS in my 2K3 org in one site (my branch
office). It worked lovely. The I moved the server to another site (my head
office) with a different sub-net. (The subnets were properly published in
site and services for some years now). Trying to access OWA for a mailbox
on 2K7 (that worked before) gives me this error:
--------------
Outlook Web Access is not available. If the problem continues, contact
technical support for your organization and tell them the following: There
is no Microsoft Exchange Client Access server that has the necessary
configuration in the Active Directory site where the mailbox is stored.
--------------
Where do I start to find a resolution?
Some articles suggest that it has to do with co-existence with 2K3 but I
don't think this applies here. The CAS is 2K7 and the Mailbox is 2K7.
Another article suggests:
---------------
If the Integrated Windows authentication is not set on the Second CAS, it
will return an error message to the client.
---------------
I only have 1 CAS (apart from the 2K3 FE server). This should not be it
either.
.
