Re: Outlook not connecting to Replicated Exchange 2007 Public Fold

I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for, but I ran the
get-PublicFolderDatabase cmdlet which returned Name=PublicFolder
Server=Cheetah (EX2007) StorageGroup = FirstStorageGrp and Nothing under
ReplicationMode.

Hi,

Try to get the properties of the exchange 2007 mailbox database - which is
the default public folder store it uses?

Hi Terence,

Thank you for your response. I tried the connection from another PC that
I
did not have a local profile on. In this case it was Outlook 2003. The
connection status shows the same as my Vista computer with Outlook 2007
the
public folders connection still points to our EX 2000 server. I've also
reviewed the migration steps in the documentation and believe that I have
followed them all correctly.

Re the second set of questions...
1 Yes this happens to all of my users.
2 We are running outlook 2003 and 2007 and the symptom is the same for
both.
3 The Public Folders appear to function just fine. In fact, I have a fax
application that sends faxes to a mail enabled public folder which now
only
exists on the Exchange 2007 so I am fairly certain that the mail flow to
the
new EX 2007 public store is operational. For some reason however, my
clients
are being redirected to the EX2000 server for the public folder
connection.

Thanks for your help

Hello Steve,

Thank you for posting here.

According to your description, I understand that you migrate your
Exchange
2000 to 2007, however, the Outlook Connection Status shows public folders
are still using the Exchange 2000 server. If I have misunderstood the
problem, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Based on my research, I suggest we try the following steps to see if we
can
resolve this issue:

1. Please try to logon the user account on another client computer, then
configure the Outlook to connect Exchange 2007. Do you get same issue?

2. Please ensure your migration steps are correct, for the detailed
migration steps, refer to the folllowing link:

How to Transition from Single Forest to Single Forest
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa997617.aspx

If we cannot resolve the issue after we perform the above steps, please
kindly help me collect some information for further investigation:

1. Does this issue happen on all clients?

2. What's edition of your Outlook?

3. Can you open the public folders in Outlook?

Hope these steps will give you some help.

Thanks and have a nice weekend!

Best regards,

Terence Liu(MSFT)
