Re: Exchange 2007 SP1

I have reading that Service Pack 1 is going to fix a lot of things, make the
MMC a little more functional. Sounds to me wait until Service Pack 1 to
rollout Exchange 2007.

Please keep me post of the release date.

I know Exchange 2007 SP1 was slated for sometime later this year -- perhaps
in conjunction with Windows Server 2008. I've also read/heard that beta 2
for SP1 will add additional functionality (didn't this phase used to be
called alpha?).

Has there been any update/change in SP1 release timeframe that anyone is
aware of? We're waiting for the following:

* move-mailbox export to PST support. We currently use this as a part of
our backup strategy rather than doing brick-level backups.
* Access to public folders via OWA.

If we keep an Exchange 2003 box around, we can handle public folders via
OWA. I read somewhere that exmerge can still work against Exchange 2007
to
do the export to PST job. Has anyone tested this?
