I did all the preliminary prepare commands.

I have just recreated the VM from scratch and successfully installed the
M,C,H roles. There seems to be some funkiness happening in the setup if the
bits are on the local file system. I had the bits on my desktop and for some
reason the read-only bit was being forced on part of the dir tree. I had to
copy to a folder on the root of a drive to get the setup to proceed. Curious.

I cannot find any references to the Error ID and don't see any evidence of
an access violation on the DC, new EX box or the old EX box.

How should I proceed with the diagnosis of the error?
