Leif, it sounds like Exchange has similar requirements to SQL Server would I

Hi all,
Thinking about moving from our current mail server MDaemon with MDaemon
Archive Server to Exchange.
Just wondered if Exchange 2003 had anything built-in for archiving and
retrieval of email (we have all business mail going back to 2002) or if
you have to buy something third party.
Also not sure about best practise with partitioning for info store and
transactional logs.
