Guys,
I have a BB Pearl and tried to use the BB internet email set up option to
try to hook onto my msn account to enable to get my msn.com emails.
Unfortunately, I was informed by TMobile Techs that MSN does not allow this
feature. I tried a few times to go through msn direcly, did not work. Does
anyone know how I can get my msn.com emails pushed to my BB. Thanks for the
help

When subscribing to a Blackberry data plan, your carrier gets you access.
to BIS (Blackberry Internet Service). It is a web-based tool that allows
you to configure a number of e-mail account to be polled (POP3, IMAP).
Polling is typically done every 15 minutes. Other than sending the mail
to the server, ther is no interaction between Exchange and the BB.
The BB install CD will also come with the Desktop Redirector. It will
allow mail sync between Exchange and the 'Berry. It needs to run on a PC
that is logged on and that has access to your mail account.
the BES (Blackberry Enterprise Server) allows full sync between Exchange
and the 'Berry. it also allows a great amount of admin control over the
devices. There is a free 1 user version available on RIM's site.
It should be installed on it;s own machine. However, for small
installations, it can work on the Exchange server. Although not
supported, it has been known to work on XP for small installs.

I gathered that the Blackberry gets to the Exchange server through the
wireless carrier, but what is it that should be enabled at Exchange
for this to work ? Does it require POP3 enabled on the user account ?
Sorry about these questions as I don't own or have access to a
Blackberry.

Server? If you mean another machine that we can set up and manage
strictly for Blackberry devices, then nope.
As for single device, say, if we have our Exchange server, how does
the Blackberry communicate to Exchange ? On what port, etc ??

Hmm... a single device or are you planning to use Blackberry server?
Single device - using Blackberry Internet Service
http://www.discoverblackberry.com/personalize/blackberry101/internet.
jsp
Blackberry Server: user needs to be activated/added to Blackberry
server. (Provided the Blackberry server's already setup - plenty of
documentation accompanying the server if you want to set it up).
