POP3 Configuration on FE and BE Servers

Hello all,

I notice when using the POP3 connector both the frontend server as well as
any backend server for which the user using POP3 to connect has a mailbox
homed must be enabled as well. Is there any way around this while continuing
to use the POP3 connector?

I am a little concerned with having POP3 enabled on the frontend and each
backend server. Maybe those concerns are unwarranted though.
