Re: Exchange 2007 in Longhorn Domain Install (No GC in site)

Exchange Server 2007 is not supported on Longhorn server at the moment,
neither is its existence in an environment with Longhorn DCs/GCs, afaik.

Hi,

I've got some VM's installed so I can test and learn about Exchange 2007.

I've installed Longhorn Beta2 and setup a DC (longhorn.local)
I've then installed a 64-bit copy of Windows 2003 and joined it to the
domain.
When I go to install Exchange, I went through the set-up and installed the
.NET Framework, PS and the other hotfixes, but I get an error stating that
there were no GC's (Global Catalogue) servers in my site.

Given that there is only 1 site (default) and 1 DC (which is by default a
GC), I can't see why I'm getting this issue.

I'm going to install a second DC based on Windows 2003 x64 and see if that
works but I don't know why I'm getting this issue. I also doubt this will
work as when I installed my DC initially I told it to install everything
at
the highest functional level.

Any ideas gratefully received.

Also, I tried installing Exchange initially on Longhorn, but I failed to
get
the correct version of the PowerShell installed - Can someone point me at
the
correct DL location for this too?
