Hi Nux,
When you go to system manager can you see the 5.5 server there?
I suspect that you should not be able to see. I also suspect that you cannot
see the 2003 users in the 5.5 GAL as well.

Senario:
I've installed ex2003 to join with ex5.5 site for migration purpose. After
ex2003 installation was completed, i created few mailboxes hosted in new
installed ex2003 and tried to send testing mail from ex2003 hosted
mailboxes
to existing ex5.5.
Problem:
Ex2003 hosted mailbox can't send/receive email message to/from to ex5.5
hosted mailbox and SMPT.
