Hi,

We have a staff in the marketing team just left the company, so his
teamates need to look at his emails for follow-up. The problem is
giving Full Mailbox Rights is not a desirable way, people will start
dragging emails in and out of the mailbox making a mess. On the
other hand, giving 'Reviewer' permission subfolder by subfolder is
not practicle because there are too many subfolders. There is no
need to delegate 'Send on behalf' permission too. What is the best
way to fulfill all these requirements?
Thanks,
Saigon Tuna.

There's nothing you can do on the server besides set 'full mailbox access'
rights (at least, not natively). I'm afraid your only recourse will be to
set the permissions in that user's mailbox in Outlook, on the folders they
need access to. I don't think subfolders inherit the permissions you set on
top-level folders, unfortunately, but you might try posting in an Outlook
group or searching www.slipstick.com

Or, you could create a public folder, and copy the folders/subfolders you
wish to it, and have them access the PF instead - it's pretty easy to set
permissions on PFs and subfolders therein, on the server. Since this fellow
is gone, I'd assume whomever is taking over the role ought to have all his
mailbox data - which means, this shouldn't need to be kept in place for very
long.
