Separate SMTP Connector for example.com with relaying to that domain
allowed. Insert fqdn/IP address of remote host as a smarthost.
Normally you would have a separate SMTP Connector for address space *. Do
not allow relaying on that.

Hi,
I have a client using SBS2003 Exchange. They use the POP3 connector and a
smarthost as mail is hosted somewhere else. They need to be able to send
mail to a mailing list (DL) that is hosted at their mail host. I followed
the "shared address space" Q. The recipient policy is only authoritative
for
the local domain. (ie. example.local) not example.com. When I add
example.com to the address space (and allow relay) in the smtp connector
they
can send to the mailing list but the smtp connector stops delivering mail.
Should the smtp connector address space have the example.com AND wildcard
(*) or just example.com. I have tried both and neither seem to work. Any
suggestions welcome!
Thanks.
