Hello!
The owner of our company often wants his administrative assitant to
send emails as his proxy. THey both have accounts on our Exchange2003
system. I looked up on TechNet about assigning the "send as"
permission.
What I did is I went to AD users and computers, with advanced features
on. Right clicked on the owners user account/properties/security
tab/advanced
In dadvanced sec settings for the owners account I added the
administrative assitants account. In the permissions entry for the
administrative asst's account I added the send as permission as allow.
Once I do all that how does she go about sending a message as him from
outlook 2003?
Thanks!
In a new message in Outlook, she needs to put his name/address in the From
field. (View | From Field).
You might ask the owner if he really wants this - there's something he can
configure himself, in Outlook, in the Delegates tab in tools |
options...."Send on Behalf Of" will let the assistant send mail that
initially looks as though it were sent from him, but when the recipient
opens it, it will say "From Joe Bloggs on behalf of My Boss".
