Re: Exchange 2003 backup

If that's the case then we're all screwed because Symantec (formerly
Veritas, formerly Seagate, formerly Arcada) wrote NTBACKUP.

The best way to back up Exchange 2003 is using NTBACKUP to back up to a disk
file on a different volume, and then to use any backup tool to back up the
backup (bkf) file to tape or whatever. If you need better management or
other features, then you are encouraged to survey the marketplace for better
tools.

I have been tolled that BackupExec is crap more then once on this forum.

So, I like to know what it the best way to backup Exchg 2003/W2k3 servers?
It would be nice to be able to backup all the servers from one central
location/backup tape drive. We have about 6 servers that need to be backed
up including an SQL server with very large DBs that exceed 150GB.

Also keep in mind that the solution has to be economically viable and
recovery has to be relatively quick and simple.

thanks.
