Re: How to login to multiple mailboxes using OWA

Ed,

The only way to do what you're asking for, if I understand your question
correctly, is to create two mailboxes, meaning two user accounts,

Can't I have two mailboxes associated with one user account with different
aliases like you could in Exchange 5.5?

Thanks for your assistance.

Your terminology and apparently your understanding is wrong. What you're
seeing is not two accounts. What you are seeing is two addresses for one
"account" and one mailbox. In general, sending from two different
addresses using a MAPI client or OWA is not supported. Only the "reply
address", or the one showing in the E-mail Addresses tab with boldface and
having SMTP capitalized can be used to send mail with these types of
clients. The only way to do what you're asking for, if I understand your
question correctly, is to create two mailboxes, meaning two user accounts,
and two MAPI profiles or separate mail aliases for OWA. Your user doesn't
necessarily have to log into both accounts; his first account can have
full mailbox rights on the second mailbox, and Send As right on the second
user's account.

There may be a third-party product that can better do what you want, but I
have no experience with it.
