Thanks for your help. I am almost finished this upgrading and I got this
error during the 80% completion. There is no error in the event log and the
store is not mounted as the services stop during the upgrade.

Any idea?

Have you checked the event logs to see additional information? Made sure the
store was mounted? What else have you done to troubleshoot?

When I tried to upgrade the exch2000 frondend to the exch2003, I got this
error"Setup failed while installing sub-component Microsoft Exchange

BTW, I am using the account with exchange full admin rights and doamin
