Re: Exchange 2003 Server installation errors

You installed the Exchange 2003 on the same server as the Exchange 5.5?

What you can try is booting the Windows 2000 Server installation and trying
the Repair option. That may very well copy over the needed files.

Or reinstall the latest Service Pack again.

For future reference, it would be best if you installed Exchange 2003 on a
seperate server and migrated the mailboxes over.

Surely there is a less drastic option. I know format and start over is
great
on home computers, but when this machine is in a main production where
150+
users connect this server daily. It is rather complicated to Format this
machine.

Hi,

It appears that your uninstall procedure removed some vital WMI
components.
I would wipe / Install Windows server on the computer in question - then
it
should work.

I have attempted to research this issue for the past 2 weeks and have
been
unable to retrieve any information. I have a 5.5 server currently on a
Win2K
machine. I attempted to install exchange server 2003 on a Win2K3
machine.
Although I had a few errors to start with I researched and followed
Microsoft's technet to correct the issues. Once I got Exchange 2003
server
installed, the user's of the 5.5 server were unable to connect to the
5.5
server. ( It did not copy over any mailboxes or anything from the 5.5
server
to the 2003 server ) So, I immediately un-installed Exchange 2003. Now
when I
try and re-install to work on it again I receive these errors in the
