Hi,
I have found one similar case on the internet - see below. They say that it
had something to do with permissions in the registry and ended up
reinstalling the server. Did you change any permission settings somewhere on
the server (like running the SP1 security configuration wizard)?

Hi,
Do you have the proper permissions to install Exchange on this server?
You must be a local admin on the server and have Exchange full
administrators permissions.

Hi,
Look in the exchange setup log. It is located in the root of the C
drive.

I'm trying to install Exchange 2003 on Windows 2000 Std but I'm
getting
the
following errors messages:
During installation it shows the following message:
Setup failed while installing sub-component Required machine-level
setting
with error code 0xC0070005 (pleas consult the installation logs for
a
detailed description). You may cancel the installation or try the
failed
step
again.
The summary shows:
X (Error) Microsoft Exchange Messaging and Collaboration Services
Access denied.
Facility: Win32
ID no: c0070005
Microsoft Exchange Setup
I applied a KB906906, and it didn't fiz my problem. Does anyone
knows
what
can I do???
