Help Exchange 5.5 and 2003 in different domains

Hi

I have an NT4 domain with exchagen 5.5 and a 2003 domain with exchange 2003.
I have migrated some user accounts but want to be able to use both servers
as migration will take a long time. I can send mail from the new 2003 to
internet accounts (via smarthost as we use mailsweeper) our 5.5 uses this
also but cant receive mail from internet. I can't send mail to users in
exchange 5.5 domain it says a confguration error in the e-mail system caused
the message to bounce between 2 servers or to be forwarded between 2
recipients.

I am not sure if i need to add a routing group or should get all mail
inbound mail to go to 5.5 and be forwarded on somehow or what is the best
practice??
.
