RE: Configuration / Protocols Missing

Hi Customer,

Thanks for posting here!

First of all, please note that the partner managed newsgroups are not the
appropriate venue of support for time critical or business down issues. The
newsgroups are staffed weekdays by Microsoft Support professionals. Our
goal is to provide 24 hour response to all questions, which may not be
quick enough in this type situation. Your understanding is appreciated.

Microsoft Partners in the United States and Canada can take advantage of
around-the-clock Microsoft technical phone support, at no charge, during
critical LAN outages or escalated, "business down" customer situations.

For time critical issues (not business down), we encourage you to contact
CSS directly for more immediate resolution to the issue. More information
on support services here:

International Support (non-US/Canada):

Meanwhile, Migration issues may be complicated and we may need more time to
troubleshoot this. If the issue is urgent to your business, it is
recommended that you contact Microsoft Customer Support Services (CSS) via
the links above.

It is your decision if you would like me to work with you on this issue in
this thread. I will be glad to assist you.

Based on my knowledge, the ADCConfigCheck deployment tool (Check Exchange
5.5 Directory Configuration) makes sure that Exchange 5.5 directory
configuration objects are replicated correctly from the Exchange 5.5
directory to Active Directory. The tool searches Active Directory by using
the ADCglobalNames attribute of the Exchange 5.5 object, and it lists any
Exchange 5.5 configuration objects that are missing from Active Directory.

If you receive errors when you run ADCConfigCheck, make sure that the
Configuration Connection Agreement (config_CA) is replicating. By default,
its endpoints are the Site Replication Service and a global catalog server.
Make sure that the fully qualified domain names (FQDN) of these servers are
registered correctly in DNS. Because the Kerberos functionality of ADC
requires DNS resolution, DNS name resolution must be working correctly. To
verify that config_CA is replicating:

1. Start Exchange System Manager.
2. Right-click the server that is running Site Replication Service, and
then click Properties.
3. Click the Details tab.
4. In the Administrative note box, type test, and then click OK.
5. Open Active Directory Connector Services, right-click config_CA, and
then click Replicate now.
6. Start Microsoft Exchange 5.5 Administrator, and then connect to the
server that is running Site Replication Service.
7. Right-click the server that is running Site Replication Service, and
then click Properties.
8. Click the Details tab.
9. Verify that the "test" entry that you typed in step 4 appears in the
Administrative note box.

And you can maximize the Diagnostic Logging as below.

1. On the Start menu, point to Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and
then click Active Directory Connector Management to start Microsoft
Management Console.
2. In the left pane, click Active Directory Connector.
3. On the Action menu, click Properties to view the Active Directory
Connector Properties dialog box.
4. On the Diagnostics Logging tab, select the all logging categories
separately, and then click the maximum logging level from the Category
Logging Levels list.

After certain duration, please send me the Application Event Log to me for
further research: v-leeli@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I look forward to your reply. If there is anything unclear, feel free to
let me know. Thanks and have a nice day!
