SMTP email using TLS between Exch 5.5 and qmail/sendmail

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

As part of some compatibility testing I've been trying to get outgoing TLS
emails working between Exch5.5 and qmail and sendmail on RedHat 8. Incoming
email works fine. For outgoing email it seems that Exch5.5 fails during the
handshake when the Client Certificate exchange is meant to take place. I
doubt it's a certificate problem as we use the same procedure for all other
MTAs without issue. My hunch is that it's got something to do with the
Exchange key server on the Windows box.

I've tried Exchange 5.5 (SP4) on both NT4 (SP6) and Windows 2000 (SP4)
server with the same result.

I've tried Exchange 2000 and 2003 and they both work without problem.

Any ideas?
