Hi,
I have a Windows 2003 AD with a single Exchange 2003 Server which is now
long in the tooth. I am looking for the most painless method of adding a new
Exchange 2003 Server and it seems to me that the method of installing it
into the AD and using the move mailbox wizard before decommissioning the old
Exchange Server is the way to go.
My questions are:-
1) Is it really that simple and does it mean that I do not even have to
visit the workstations to reconfigure Outlook? When I setup Outlook I have
to provide thename of the Exchange server so how does this work when the
mailbox has been moved?
2) I presume that after moving mailboxes, doing the public folder
replication etc. that I would then config the SMTP connectors and virtual
server etc. before I actually shutdown the old Exchange Server and remove it
from the AD?
Many thanks
nvvbh
