I think there are two ways you can recieve the mail.
One is to setup a POP3 Connector on the Exchange server. I do not know if
this can be done on Exchange by itself, all I can find about it is when
dealing with SBS2003. I have looked at one of my customers servers that is
running WS2003 with E2003 and cannot see how to create the connector.
The other way is to add a POP3 account on the worksation for that user in
Outlook. This is how I am currently recieving external for the customer I
talked about. I then had to add that external email address to their user
profile on the server, to be able to send external email. This is kind of a
pain, but it works and was the only way I found. I was not aware of a way to
create the POP3 Connector when I set them up and it looks like I cannot
create one for them.
I will have to do some more looking on how or if you can create a POP3
Connector on Exchange 2003 without SBS2003.
