There is a small chance you would have this issue. If you were to, you
would have symptoms similer to the following and the workaround below would
most likely resolve the issue.

SYMPTOMS:
================
Running Exchange 2000 or Exchange Server 2003 Setup /forestprep fails with
the following error:

Setup failed while installing sub-component Microsoft Exchange
Organization-Level Container Object with error code 0xC1037AE6 (please
consult the installation logs for a detailed description). You may cancel
the installation or try the failed step again.

If you hit retry the following error is received:

Setup failed while Configuring administrative rights (error 0xC1037AE6:
Extending the schema in the Active Directory failed. Please consult the
following error log: %s\LDIF.ERR.)

The Exchange Server Setup Progress.log file shows the following:

[09:38:31] ScRunLDIFScript (K:\admin\src\libs\exsetup\exmisc.cxx:1267)
           Error code 0XC1037AE6 (31462): Extending the schema in the Active
Directory failed. Please consult the following error log: %s\LDIF.ERR.

WORKAROUND:
==============
Change the Temp and Tmp User Variable to a path without a space in the name
by following the steps below:

1. Right click on My Computer and choose Properties

2. Click the Advanced tab

3. Click the Environmental Variables button

4. Click Edit to change the User Variable to c:\winnt\temp for the Temp
   variable and c:\winnt\tmp for the TMP variable

5. Re-run setup /forestprep
