Exchange 5.5 to 2003 migration

I am getting ready to do a migration. from nt4 server w/
exchange 5.5 to 2003 server w/ exchange 2003. is kba
316886 valid process for this. I have done 5.5 to 2000
with this and it works well. new server will be member
server in same domain and exchange 2003 in same site with
5.5 server. any help is appreciated
