Is that internal or external? As in, did your ISP or whomever hosts your
public DNS set up an A record in your domain's public DNS called
mail.companyname.com that points to your external IP?

Shouldn't have to do anything particular in IIS - just have to open up the
appropriate ports/do port forwarding in your firewall to make sure inbound
traffic on 80 (or 443, better still) will get to your Exchange server's
private IP.
