Unable to access OWA (public) after Exchg2003 SP1 install

After upgrading our Exchange 2003 Server to SP1, OWA can not be accessed from the WAN(mail.xxxx.com\exchange), but works fine from the local LAN (<servername>.xxxx.crp\exchange).
Current setup: Exchange 2003 SP1 (Windows 2003), OWA with SSL
The error: The login screen comes up fine. I login as usual (domain\username and then password). Then the web page displays the login screen again, but there is a login screen in each of the two frames you normally get with a successful login.
IIS logs show the following:

Nothing else has been changed on the network except for the Exchange SP install. If you have any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated.
