exchange 2003 - sending 1000's of emails

New install of exchange 2003 after a couple of days we recieved a e-mail with
5 pages of cc'ed users. ever since then we have been sending the same email
to the cc'ed addressess.
Run full anti virus scan
Run adaware
noadaware
nothing found on the server.
get event id:'s
1002 - start service's
981 wmiprvse.exe
1002
996 inetinfo
996 store.exe
996 wmiprvse.exe
984 GetNextHop

at this point we get 10000's of emails all going to the addresses in the one
email
Server is disconnected from the network and internet and the "queues"
smallbusiness SMTP connector just keeps filling up - i can delete 10000's at
a time

Help!!!!
