My company currently uses Exchange 2000 Server Standard Edition. We wish to
setup a new front-end server for webmail access (which is not supported on
Exchange 2000 Server Standard Edition) so we're proposing to buy Exchange
2003 Server Standard Edition for this new machine, but leave the back-end
server running Exchange 2000 (for financial reasons). Internal clients will
continue to connect directly to the back-end server using Outlook 2002.

We have a number of Exchange 2000 client access licenses. Do these need to
be replaced by Exchange 2003 client access licenses bearing in mind that the
clients will still primarily be accessing the Exchange 2000 server?

Thanks,

Ade.
