Jaclynn,

Thank you again for responding with further help.

What I have now done is: Search through the old data
and found the dir.edb that you referred to and have now
copied it into it's respective directory within the
exchsrvr folder. (/exchsrvr/dsadata/)

Now after rebooting the server and trying to access the
exchange server (using Exchange Administrator) I am
getting the following error:

Can not establish a connection.

You do not have the permissions required to complete the
operation.

Microsoft Exchange Directory
ID no: DS_E_INSUFFICIENT_ACCESS_RIGHTS

I'm assuming this is because the old database file also
stored the administrators old password? As this is only
a test server I have been using a new "dummy" password,
will using the old password work? (I'll test that next)
or is there another way of getting permissions back? I
checked the administrators permissions in Active
Directory for Users and even made the administrator a
member of ALL groups (which didn't help).

Thanks again for your continued help and thanks in
advance for any future help... (greatly appreciated).

Regards,
Eric Sambach
