Error sending mail from Exchange

Could someone explain the error message below to me plz and tell me what
needs to be done to fix this. We are running Exchange 5.5 and this was sent
using Outlook 2000

There was a SMTP communication problem with the recipient's email server.
Please contact your system administrator.
