Display exchange users data on web page

Hi
Say I want to make a simple web page with information from the visiting user's Exchange account items like email and contacts, what would be the best approach?
I'm thinking a server-side script (ASP?) that does some sort of query to the Exchange server, but I haven't done this before so I need some expert to point me in the right direction :-)
Will CDO objects be the easiest way? Preferably I will not need dotNET.
Any help is much appreciated.
