Dearest Colleagues:
I have a most perplexing dilemna before me. I currently have an Exchange
2000 server humming along rather nicely but since we have free upgrade
rights through a school agreement, I was thinking of just biting the bullet
and goint with Exchange 2003.
I realize the the Outlook Web access of Exchange 2003 is a far cry from that
found in Outlook Web access in Exchange 2000. Now, other than modfying the
schema for a windows 2003 active directotory, are there any tricks or tips
or minefields that I should be aware of. More particularly, I am going to
resore our mailboxes and information stores from backup, rather, backups in
the plural sense or may even follow the instructions in the following MS
knowledge base:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;297289
or may even follow along with these steps in this knowledge base article:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=296788
My question is, quite simply, how much of a pain in the *** and what types
of minefields can I expect when going from Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2003.
Any advise is greatly appreciated.
Walt
