It really depends on the amount of users and bandwidth requirements. I
would definitely keep the users in your Domain and create an additional OU.
You can either install an additional Exchange Server with GC at the UK site
or look at upgrading your DC's and domain to 2003 so you have the option of
running Outlook with RPC over HTTPs. A little more info about your user
environment would be helpful but this will get you started.

Hello everyone.
We currently have our HQ in the US and a satellite office in the UK. Our
HQ
has a 2000 domain and an Exchange 2003 Server. We currently have a VPN
tunnel
between both sites. Would anyone recommend using the VPN tunnel for our
remote office to access their e-Mail via Outlook or setup an Exchange
Server
on their end.
If the latter, how would I go about doing that? Should they have their own
domain (connected to ours somehow). Have our Exchange Server be the "Main"
one and the one in the UK as the "slave" so that it would pickup if the HQ
one goes down? Could the e-Mail messages be forwarded to the UK one from
the
US or can the messages be sent directly to the UK Server?
