abput exchange services

I have etiher win2k3 ent. or ex2003 ent.
when I have opened the system this morning!
1:exchange pop3 service doesnt run and I couldnt in the service manager
2:exchange virtual directory(modify action)disabled(rihgt click)doesnt
select action
what kind couldnt problems?
