Hey guys,
Currently I have the following set up
one routing group.
4 - Exchange 2000 Servers
2 - Exchange 5.5 Servers ( Have IMS Connectors that deleiver outbound
email )
2 - gateway machines running mail frontier (no exchange server) that
deleiver inbound email
I am satisifed with my inbound email delivery , but I would like to remove
the IMS connectors to do the outbound email , this is being done to slowly
phase out the exchange 5.5 servers.
I would like to retain the load balancing that is offered by the current IMS
Connectors.
does anyone have any thoughts on how I can accomplish this ?
my plan was to create two SMTP Connectors on two of the 4 mail servers and
have them use there own SMTP virtual servers. Does anyone have any thoughts
? Ideally I would like to have two exchange server hosting just the smtp
connectors and the virutal serves , but I might be able to get just one ,
ill probably use one of the 4 mail servers to be the other smtp connector.
thoughts?
