Local message delivery problem - Exchange 2003

Since a few weeks we experience some delay in the delivery of local emails at
different times.

We have verified the connectivity between Exchange and Active directory and
there is no problem with that.

We have ran Exchange 2003 best practice analyzer which is reporting that the
DSAccess User Cache is only 4MB. According to the Exchange 2003 Deployment
Guide, the cache size has changed in Exchange 2003 and it should stands at
140MB. The configuration cache is standing at 3MB. This install is based on a
clean install and there was no upgrade from an earlier version. At the
Internet there is no information available from where you can decide which
size the DSAccess user cache should have. We have about 1500 Mailboxes
running in our company.

The problem states at the Categorizer which is not able to decide in which
queue the email should be delivered. Sometimes it's only able to decide after
about 10min till about 1 hour to decide that the mail should be delivered at
the local delivery queue.

Important note: The domain controllers are running a McAfee Antivirus

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Nicke
