Re: Exch 2007 Mailbox role sending to IMCEAEX System Attendant?

I dont follow you

Q: "why is that?"
A: because those are invalid addresses.
IMCEAEX-_O=DOMAIN_OU=EXCHANGE+20ADMINISTRATIVE+20GROUP+20+28FYDIBOHF23SPDLT+29_CN=Configuration_cn=Servers_cn=MAILBOXSERVER_cn=Microsoft+20System+20Attendant@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx doesnt exist as an email address on my system.

Why is system attendant sending messages to an address that doesnt exist? Is
this a system address>

That the IMCEA encapsulation occurs is telling you that there is no valid
SMTP address for the recipient; exactly what the 550 is telling you. Why is
that?

Looking at our message tracking failed results, I see plenty of emails
from
our mail server going to addresses exchange cannot resolve and thus
failing.
I was curious what these emails are, and why the mailbox role is spewing
them
out?

For example, the from address is:
MicrosoftExchange329e71ec88ae4615bbc36ab6ce41109e@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

And the recipient address is:
IMCEAEX-_O=DOMAIN_OU=EXCHANGE+20ADMINISTRATIVE+20GROUP+20+28FYDIBOHF23SPDLT+29_CN=Configuration_cn=Servers_cn=MAILBOXSERVER_cn=Microsoft+20System+20Attendant@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

And the message tracking shows the following error on this email:
550 5.2.0 RESOLVER.ADR.BadPrimary; recipient primary SMTP address is
missing
or invalid
