Our organization has two mail servers, and Exchange server that hosts our corporate office, and another server that host POP/IMAP mail for about 2000 other users. However, both of these servers share the same domain, @mycompany.com
Currently, I have mail routing through the generic pop server, with forwarding rules that send mail into our Exchange server. I have set the "forward all mail with unresolved recipients" in exchange 2003 to point back to the POP/IMAP server. Both servers can send mail between eachother, and all outbound and inbound mail is sent out of the Pop/IMAP server.
We want to move to Exchange 2007, and I can't find the "forward all mail with unresolved recipients" option anywhere, but I would prefer that Exchange handle incoming mail anyway, and not this other system. I would prefer to setup some kind of rule that is "If person exists in our organization, send here, if not send here" - I am curious if the Edge Transport Role can do this. The trials VHD does not support that option.
Thanks!
