Hello,
I have 3 DC's + Mail Server :
DC1 Windows 2000
DC2 Windows2000 GC
DC3 Windows2003 FSM0 Roles in a child domain
DC4 not yet active but will be Windows 2003 with GC
Mail srv

I transfert this morning the roles from DC1 to DC3.
And everything is OK

I put DC3 as GC as well I know not recommanded on an INfra FSMO but..
If I disable the nic of DC1 and DC2 to simulate the future dcpromote
to demote them.
The mail server is not working properly, Webmail is out also and
Outlook can not send and receive mails.
Any idea's.
I checked mail for appropriate DNS and Wins.
But ... no more mail...
Thank YOu
Problem with the store

Not sure if I understand correctly....but if you tranferred the FSMO roles
to a DC in the child domain, that sounds like a problem.
