Active sync fails from Mobile 5.0 device

we recieve the following errror. ActiveSync Error Code 85010014

I Understand the error is actually a Server error
This is on a small business Server. I have setup many of these and this is
the first problem i have had like this. I have checked the directory
persmissions all is correct. I have also ensured the exchange-oma that is
created in SBS 2003 is in place.

However I believe someone tried to install Sharepoint services over the top
of the original that comes with SBS. And feel this might be the problem.
