Thanks for the reply,
I installed the certificat manualy on the device, but still the same
problem
I'm presuming your server has SP2, and the certificate is installed properly
on it. If that's the case, but your device still can't sync, you might try
calling HP for support. Also, try posting in
microsoft.public.pocketpc.activesync to see if anyone in there has any
similar problems or can help.

It is a certificate from Comodo, could this being the problem?
Could be...I don't know them. If it works when you
export/import/launch, then yes, it was not issued by a trusted root
authority.

Hello,
I'm using exchange OWA en outlook with RDP via a SSL connection.
On the Exchange server is and SSL certificate installed.
I want to connect my new HP personal Messenger rw6815 to it.
When i try to syncronize i get the following message.
"Teh sequrity certificate on the server is invalid. Contact your
exchange server administrator or ISP to install a vallid
certificate on the server. Support Code: 80072f0d"
Outlook and OWA works fine over SSL.
Can somboddy help me out with this.
Manny thanks in advance
Peter
Are you using a self-signed certificate? That's the usual cause.
Either get a third party certificate (Geotrust, Thawte, Verisign,
Godaddy, whatnot) and install it, or you'll need to export your SSL
cert to a file, copy it to the device's file system, launch
it/execute it once.
From
http://simultaneouspancakes.com/Lessons/archives/2006/09/copying_ssl_cer.shtml
(it's about SBS, but that isn't relevant)
1.. From the computer you use to sync via cable with the mobile
device, go to the login page of the Outlook Web Access or Remote
Web Workplace page on your server (https://servername/exchange or
https://servername/remote) with Internet Explorer.
2.. Without logging in, double-click on the yellow lock icon in
the Status Bar at the bottom of the IE window.
3.. In the Certificate window that pops up, click on the Details
tab.
4.. Click the Copy to File button to launch the Certificate
Export Wizard.
5.. Click Next.
6.. Select DER encoded binary X.509 (.CER) and click Next.
7.. Click Browse and choose a location to save the file that you
can easily find later (like C:\).
8.. Name the file with a .cer extension and click Save.
9.. Click Next.
10.. Click Finish.
11.. You should get a window that says the export was successful.
Click OK. Copy the .cer file to your mobile device.
12.. On the mobile device, find the .cer file and click on it to
install it into the certificate store. Click Yes to install the
certificate. (This isn't a lot of fun if you have a bunch of
users/devices to support, so if that's the case, buy a certificate
from a trusted authority.)
