Hi,
You should be able to rightclick the connection agreements in the ADC (one
at a time) get the properties and then select the other domain controller).

I have an ADC on the server that is obviously pointing to the old one,
but I can't figure out how to reconfigure it. can you help with this.

This ADC needs to be reconfigured to use the working DC.

I'm a network running Server 2003, Active Directory, 2 domain
controllers.
We had a power outage a couple of days ago, and I ended up with a
corrupt ntds.dit on one of my DCs, so it wouldn't replicate. Actually,
it wouldn't start. On startup, it pops up telling me to fix it in
Directory Services Restore Mode. I've rebooted to Directory Services
Restore Mode, and have run ntdsutil to try and defrag, to no avail. at
about 20% it shoots an error 1022.
I ended up seizing all the fmso roles and doing metadata cleanup to
removing the bad DC from AD, however now I'm getting the following
error:
Source: MSADC
Category: LDAP Operations
Event ID: 8026
Description: "LDAP Bind was unsuccessful on directory
2dc.bc.cellxion.com for distinguished name ''. Directory returned
error:[0x51] Server Down."
So it does still look like it's looking for the down server, but I
removed it.
I know this is the exchange group, and my exchange server is fine, but
this is the only place I've found that discusses this error. I think
the fact that the good DC is still looking for the bad one to replicate
is sending my broadcast traffic through the roof.
Any help???
thanks
randy
