Sold SMTP address now cant send to it

Hi

A few months ago we sold part of our business to another company and
with that they received a domain name of xyz.co.uk

This was a secondary email domain on my exchange 2000 servers. The
External DNS was changed for the sold domain and it was removed from
all internal DNS servers and from the Default RUS policy.

We are unable to send emails to the xyz.co.uk domain from our exchange
server. We receive 4.4.6 NDR;s .
xyz.co.uk can be emailed ok from outside our exchange.
We can receive email from xyz.co.uk
We can send email to any other domain.

I can find no reference to xyz.co.uk in AD or the registry on the
exchange servers.

Any advice most welcome

.
