Hi Gustavo,
You need to send a complete mail using telnet form the Solaris machine and
post the reply from the E2K server here. Because you send helo from the
solaris ONLY means that there is no connection restriction set, however,
authentication takes place after the helo command, so follwo these steps and
provide feedback please.
First make sure the local echo is set on (aka that you see the reply from
the server)
communication should look something like this:
you: open <exchange servername> 25
you: helo <domain name> ENTER
server: <servername Microsoft ESMTP Mail Service .... ready
you: mail from:<orginatormail@xxxxxxxxxxx> ENTER
server: 250 ... Sender OK
you: rcpt to:<destinationmail@xxxxxxxxxxx> ENTER
server: 250 <destinationmail@xxxxxxxxxxx>
you: data ENTER
server: 354 Start mail input; end with >CRLF>.<CLRF>
you: subject: test subject ENTER
ENTER (just to make sure yioure in the message body now)
Type your message body and end with typing :
ENTER
..
ENTER
server: 250 <messageID> queued mail for delivery
Note: if you get this far, sue the message ID to track the message in ESM
This is using the simple smpt commands, you can also use EHLO so you can use
Extended verbs like 8bitmime etc .....
