when I see these types of errors, two culprits come to mind. The first is
the ISA server configuration since it meddles with all the Exchange stuff so
you need your templates set up just right. Secondly, when using Form's Based
Auth there are some issues with OMA and ActiveSync you can run into problems
when using SSL if you check the box to "Require SSL" connections. If you
have Exchange running on a Windows 2000 box, your best bet is to uncheck the
box. If running on Windows 2003, there is a workaround here I think
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;[LN];817379.
Also, make sure your primary email domain for users matches the domainthey
use for OMA (ex: if you have a recipient policy that sets up @local as the
primary with @domain.com as the secondary, you'll have problems since they
will be coming to a site ending with domain.com). There is a workaround for
this too but can't remember the KB off-hand.
If these thoughts don't help, please give us more info about your setup and
we'll see what we can find.
