Rpc/Https Problem

I'm at the doorstep but not I'm getting authenticated. From watching
the connection status window (via Outlook 2003) I can see that I am
connecting to my mail server. Then I can see that it attempts to
authenicate with my unsername and password because it connects to my
global catalog (the connection even resolves the dns name of my gc).
>>From there the authenication challenge goes on for about 2 minutes,
then I am given the "Exchange server is unavailable" error. "Make sure
your Exchange server is connected, etc.,etc."

Internally the RPCPing tests work correctly with ports 6001, 6002,
6004. Doing the same test, using same switches (SSL with Basic Auth) I
receive the 1722 Execption, which is defined as "Exchange server is
unavailable".

I've verified on the firewall that 443, 6001, 6002, and 6004 are open.
I can even telnet to those ports with using my mail server's dns host
name.

During all this time OWA works correctly. Also, using the RPC/HTTP
connection internally works correctly too.
