RPC over HTTP- multiple logons
Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry
I succesfully setup a RPC front end server. Works great from the outside!!!
Our oganization is in mixed mode (exchange 2003 and exchange 5.5). We have
5 exchange 2003 sp1 back end servers, one exchange 2003 sp1 front end
server, 8 exchange 5.5 sp4 backend servers and 2 exchange 5.5 sp4 front end
servers. Of the 5 exchange 2003 servers one is a GC (the same exchange
server that is running the ADC)
RPC over HTTP works fine from the outside. The user recieves one logon
prompt. My problem is that when the client plugs into the LAN they recieve
an additional logon prompts from one of our EXCHANGE 5.5 servers! The
exchange 5.5 server requesting logon is also a front end server. Does
anyone know why? or How I can eliminate this exchange 5.5 server from
prompting RPC over HTTP users for a username and password?
Your help is much appreciated!!!!
TIA
