Hi Steve,
I have GFI as third party software...
I've seen a similar problem here
http://groups-beta.google.com/group/microsoft.public.exchange.connectivity/browse_thread/thread/c978fb6f3ebf2ab5/e3321885030462da?q=%22The+connection+was+dropped+due+to+an+SMTP+protocol+event+sink%22+GFI&_done=%2Fgroups%3Fq%3D%22The+connection+was+dropped+due+to+an+SMTP+protocol+event+sink%22+GFI%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26sa%3DN%26tab%3Dwg%26&_doneTitle=Back+to+Search&&d#e3321885030462da
I'll try this solution in this group..
