Hello, I have a problem with my Exchange Domain.
Our environment was orignally setup with 2 Domain Controllers, DC01 and
DC02. DC01 was corrupted and I had to run a forced DCPromo down and finish
removing the machine from the domain using NTDSUTIL. Several weeks later it
seems the Exchange server is still pointing to DC01. How do I remove this
connection?
I get the following error in the event log on the Exchange Server :
Event ID : 8026. LDAP Operations.
LDAP Bind was unsuccessful on directory DC01 for distinguished name.
Directory returned error:[0x51] Server Down.
Why would my Exchange server still try to connect to the old Domain
Controller ? During the demotion process, I moved all FSMO roles to DC02 and
made it the Global Catalog. My DC is Windows 2003.
Thanks for any advice in advance!
